Freemasonry is a fraternity dedicated to brotherly love, relief, and truth. Membership is open to men of good character, at least 18 years old, who believe in a Supreme Being. No one is ever solicited to join — a candidate must ask.

Submit a Petition
If you'd like to move forward, you'll complete a petition for membership, sponsored by two current members of the Lodge who can vouch for your character.
Investigation & Vote
A committee of members will meet with you and your family, then the Lodge will vote by secret ballot on your petition at a Stated Meeting.
What Membership Involves
New members progress through three degrees — Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason — each building on lessons of the last. Along the way you'll get to know your Brothers, take part in Lodge life, and, if you choose, serve on committees or in an officer's line.
There are also modest annual dues, along with a one-time initiation fee, which help maintain the Lodge and support our charitable work in the Kutztown area.
